SOUTHAMPTON, Pa.--June 21, 2002--Truescreen, a leading provider of targeted employee screening services to top firms nationwide, announces the launch of Application Station, a new online employment application solution that reduces paperwork; provides instant, 24-hour access to application information; and allows applicant background investigations to be ordered with the click of a mouse.

With Application Station, customized employment applications are created and stored online on a secure Web site. Applicants can only access the site by entering a special code the employer provides to them. Once the application is submitted, it is instantly available to employers on a secure extranet, for review, printing, sharing, or exporting into a spreadsheet or similar application.
Using the system, applicants can authorize a background check electronically, in compliance with The Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce (ESIGN) Act. Application Station stores a clear indication of the applicant’s name, the date, and the applicant’s agreement (via a check-box) to the background check. Controls are in place to ensure that once this information is submitted, it cannot be changed.
Employers can review applications and instantly submit background check requests via the same secure extranet. The system automatically pulls the data necessary for the background check from the appropriate application.
Applicant data collected through Application Station is stored in Extensible Markup Language (XML); as a result, the Application Station system can populate Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) forms and reports, as well as I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification forms.
