The Vertical Screen, Inc. family of applicant screening companies recently successfully completed its first-ever SAS 70 audit of its IT processing and control environment. The Vertical Screen family is comprised of Business Information Group (BIG®), Certiphi Screening® and Truescreen®.
The SAS 70 audit, conducted by an independent third-party accounting firm, examined Vertical Screen’s control objectives in the areas of data center physical security, environmental controls, data backup, network security, logical access and systems development. The audit, conducted by BDO Seidman, LLP, also examined key aspects of Vertical Screen’s control environment including organizational structure, integrity and ethical values, personnel policies and procedures, risk assessment and monitoring. The auditors determined that Vertical Screen’s controls are suitably designed to achieve our control objectives.
